At the University of Hohenheim’s Open Day, the Department of Economics will have its own table in the castle courtyard. Department staff will be on hand all day to discuss their research and teaching work and provide an introduction to the department’s areas of focus.

Of particular interest are the engaging and interactive economic experiments from various fields. For example, visitors can learn more about cryptocurrencies, economic history, and behavioral economics. The Chair of Monetary and International Macroeconomics uses an interactive game to explain the fascinating world of cryptocurrency. The Chair of Public Finance will conduct a behavioral economics experiment to test opinions on fairness and the government. And the Chair of Economic and Social History will test participants’ knowledge in a playful way using the giant card game “Innovations.” This brings economic research to life!

This event is intended for prospective students as well as current students interested in economic relationships, academic research, and potential academic or career opportunities in the field of economics. We look forward to welcoming all visitors and to an exciting Open Day!
