Public administration is a critical link between policymakers and the public. Given that bureaucrats implement policy decisions, and thus ultimately shape the impact of statutory reforms, public administration quality crucially determines the efficiency of government investments and the effectiveness of the state’s response to policy challenges. Conversely, even a high-quality public administration may be constrained by poor-quality lawmaking.

This workshop will discuss recent research on public administration.

Topics include, but are not restricted to:

  • Organizational challenges within public administration
  • Management practices in public administration
  • Interactions and cooperation between public administration and the private sector
  • The role of public administration in public procurement
  • Digitalization of public administration
  • The quality of law making and public administration

The workshop aims to provide a forum for talks that inspire new insights and approaches to advance the field.
