THE-Ranking by Subject 2023 - WiSo moves up to the top segment [08.11.22]
The University of Hohenheim is small and highly specialized - and can hold its own against large full universities: With its Business and Economics and Social Sciences departments, the University of Hohenheim and its Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences is one of the world's best 250 universities. This is shown by the THE World University Rankings by Subject of the magazine "Times Higher Education" (THE), published last week.
With group rankings #201-250 in both areas, the University of Hohenheim is in the top 30 percent of the 870 (Business and Economics) and 941 (Social Sciences) ranked universities. In Germany, this places it in a shared 10th place for Business and Economics and a shared 14th place for Social Sciences. In the recently published overall ranking of THE World University Rankings, the University of Hohenheim landed in the #201-250 ranking group of 1,799 universities ranked worldwide - and thus among the top 14 percent.
The Business and Economics subject ranking refers to the departments of business administration (Marketing and Management, Interorganizational Management and Performance, Financial Management and Health Care and Public Management), the Department of Education, Work and Society and the Department of Economics.
The focus of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences in research and teaching includes digital transformation and change, sustainable business and consumption, and inequality and diversity. In teaching, it also scores with the possibility of international multiple degrees, an early entry into research practice, and close integration with corporate practice.
