Article on the economists' network with Nadja Dwenger and Franziska Schünemann in the June issue of “Schlaglichter der Wirtschaftspolitik” of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action (BMWK) [06.06.24]
On April 24, 2024, the professors of the female economist network at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) exchanged ideas on current economic policy issues and specific questions with Federal Minister Robert Habeck, State Secretary Sven Giegold and BMWK employees.
In parallel to the exchange of information, the meeting was mainly about formalising and publicly announcing the network, which has been in existence since the end of 2021.
With the female economist network - a group of (junior) female professors of economics - the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) is strengthening economic counselling. In addition to the established advisory bodies, the focus is on low-threshold and dynamic advice on economic issues and specific BMWK projects. The network serves as a forum for gathering new inspiration for economic policy, communicating issues relevant to economic policy to the scientific community and discussing evidence-based solutions.
A detailed report was published in the June issue of ‘Schlaglichter der Wirtschaftspolitik’.
