New Postdocs at the Department of Economics  [28.10.24]

We welcome Sean Fahle at the Department of Economics and Francesco D'Ascanio at the Chair of Monetary and International Macroeconomics as new Postdocs. We look forward to working together in research and teaching at the University of Hohenheim.

Sean Fahle

Sean Fahle (Ph.D. in Economics, UCLA) conducts research in the areas of applied microeconomics, labour economics, health economics and public economics. His research focuses on household lifecycle behaviors, including consumption-savings decisions, labor supply, and the utilization of long-term care. Currently, he is particularly interested in studying how imperfect competition in labor markets works.
"I am thrilled to be joining the collegial and intellectually stimulating atmosphere of the Department of Economics."

Francesco D'Ascanio

Francesco D'Ascanio (Dr. rer. pol., University of Tübingen) works on international macroeconomics, global trade and the question of how skill mismatch influences global labour markets.
"I came to the University of Hohenheim to join the "Monetary and International Macroeconomics" team headed by Prof Michael Evers. I am looking forward to do research in a strong research environment and to work together on practical solutions to economic challenges.
