You Only Weave Twice: Industrial Espionage and Growth in XIX Century France  [15.01.26]

The lecture by Bruno Caprettini from the University of St. Gallen on January 21 concludes the Research Seminar in Economics for the winter term. Following the lecture, there will be a closing discussion with drinks, to which all participants are welcome.

Bruno Caprettini is an economist working on development, political economy and economic history. He is especially interested in the impact of new technologies on growth and welfare. He also works on the political economy of mobilization and civic engagement.

 In the winter term, excellent international scientists visit the University of Hohenheim in the research seminar and give lectures on their research. In addition to attending the lecture, there is often a special opportunity during office hours to exchange ideas with the guest, e.g. about the own research approaches.

Master's students are also welcome to take part in the research seminar and talk to the speakers as well as the doctoral students, postdocs and professors at the institute.
