Closing of the Research Seminar in Economics for the winter term 2025/26 [26.01.26]
On January 21, we welcomed Bruno Caprettini from the University of St. Gallen to the final lecture of the Research Seminar in Economics. His presentation, “You Only Weave Twice: Industrial Espionage and Growth in XIX Century France,” concluded the winter term Research Seminar. Afterwards, there was an open discussion with drinks. Participants looked back on the topics covered in the winter term series of events and had an in-depth discussion on various research topics.
This winter term, the Research Seminar in Economics once again offered a wide-ranging programme featuring leading researchers from Germany, Europe, USA, and Australia:
Gregor Pfeifer, University of Sydney; Jeffrey Yusof, University of Stuttgart; Felix Schönenberger, University of Stuttgart; Andrea Bernini, University of Houston; Roman Liesenfeld, University of Cologne; Sarah Langlotz, University of Goettingen; Daniel Heyen, TU Kaiserslautern-Landau; Philipp Ager, University of Mannheim; Bruno Caprettini, University of St. Gallen
The seminar offers junior researchers at the University of Hohenheim in particular the opportunity to expand their research network and benefit from the lectures and exchanges for their own research.
Excellent researchers will again be invited to the Research Seminar in Economics at the University of Hohenheim in the coming summer term. The new program will be announced in early April.
