Exchange, Research, and New Impulses - Brown Bag Seminar in Economics [15.07.26]
Two days filled with exciting research, lively discussions, and a great atmosphere: this year’s Brown Bag Seminar in Economics once again offered an excellent opportunity for postdocs and PhD students to present their work, gain new ideas, and connect with one another. Held at Hirscherhaus in Rottenburg am Neckar, the seminar brought participants together in summer weather for intensive academic exchange and informal networking.

Participants were warmly welcomed at Hirscherhaus and spent two intensive yet very enjoyable seminar days together. Once again, the Brown Bag Seminar provided a lively setting for exchange among early-career researchers from different fields of economics.
Under the guidance of Prof. Aderonke Osikominu and Prof. Nadja Dwenger, and Prof. Dietmar Fehr from the University of Stuttgart, postdocs and PhD students from all areas of economics presented their current research projects. The talks ranged from initial research ideas to more advanced projects and highlighted the broad thematic and methodological diversity within economics.
The discussions following the presentations were lively and provided valuable feedback as well as new perspectives for further developing the research. In particular, the breaks and informal parts of the seminar created many opportunities for conversation, good discussions, and expanding one’s professional network. Shared meals and recreational activities also contributed to the open and collegial atmosphere.
The seminar once again showed how valuable personal interaction and academic exchange are for the further development of research projects. Participants took away many new impulses and also contributed to the vibrant seminar atmosphere themselves
